Spring is truly here! Our beautiful Redbud tree burst into bloom this week. What a glorious sight!
The weather was warm and sunny yesterday, so my husband spent most of the day planting vegetables in our garden while I weeded the flower beds — again. It was also time to put out our hummingbird feeder, since this is the beginning of the Ruby-Throated Hummingbird migration. (You can follow the hummingbird migration by clicking here.) I also scrubbed out and hung our thistle feeder. We spotted a few American Goldfinches around the neighborhood in recent days. There haven’t been many in our area for the past few years, so we are thrilled to see their return!
As we enter Holy Week, I am going to take the next two Sundays off from writing to focus on my faith and my family. Life has become just a bit overwhelming at the moment.
But here’s the Good News . . .
There is so much hope during this season of Lent! Although I have entered an uncertain time of change and job-seeking, I am positive that God is leading the search. He guides each step and every turn in my path.
There is often a temptation to allow our present circumstances to take control of our daily lives. I find great comfort knowing that I don’t have to figure this out on my own, because the Lord is in control. Amen?
Wishing you grace and peace this Easter.
