Mountain Mover

Regardless of where I live geographically, I’ll always be an ocean girl. When you spend your childhood listening to waves crashing beneath your bedroom window, that sound never leaves you.

But another part of me loves the mountains. I have many fond memories of family weekends in our VW Camper in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We drove along the Kancamagus Highway, exploring covered bridges, gorges, and falls. And although we never rode the famous Cog Railway, our car did climb Mt. Washington.

Mountains are as varied as seacoasts. Some are green and rolling, others are rugged and snow-capped. But unlike the ever-changing tides, mountains are steadfast and unmovable. You have to go around them, over them or through them, because they won’t get out of your way.

The biggest challenges we face in life may seem like mountains. And similar to Mount Everest, they are treacherous and often impossible to climb — unless you have a trusted and experienced guide.

I take great comfort in knowing that my God is able to move mountains. He knows every obstacle I face, and He will always provide a way to get to the other side. I’ve learned there are no shortcuts to the summit. The journey may be lengthy, but every step of that climb will deepen my faith.

When Jesus’ disciples could not cast a demon out of a young boy, they asked him why.

“He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”” – Matthew‬ ‭17:20‬

Know this: there is no mountain too tall, too high, or too intimidating for God. Whatever mountain you are facing today, put your faith in Him, and trust that you will never climb alone.

Sometimes we need to hear about the mountains of life and even the small seed of mustard of faith could move a mountain what a contract of a mountain and a seed to show you don’t need a whole lot of faith to get through anything and it shows how trusting the Lord for Everything we will get through!!!!!!
