Resting in Peace

Our family lost a loved one this week. My father-in-law was an amazing man, a member of the Greatest Generation and World War II veteran, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. It’s a very sad time, but we are remembering  a life well-lived.

My faith in God brings me great comfort and peace, and profound gratitude for the promise of eternal life. I am confident we will meet again.

I am taking a couple weeks rest from writing to relax and refresh with family. This time of peaceful remembrance has coincided with a planned trip to Florida where we will gather and reminisce while creating new memories.

““Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬
